This is an incredibly pretty 9ct gold locket /Pendant (F&B) with ornate engraving and floral enamel decoration.
The front of this locket, which i believe was probably converted from a pocket watch orignally, is beautifully decorated with a blue and yellow pansy flower, with bright green leaves.
The Pansy got its name from the french word, Pensée, for 'thought'. So when pansies are seen on jewellery, they often symbolise that the wearer or giver of the item is thinking/remembering a loved one. Its a beautifully romantic sentiment, perfect for a locket, in which photos or a momento can be kept.
This wonderful sweetheart item can be worn as a pendant or a locket and measures 3.5 x 2.5cm (Including the large bale). It weighs a heavy 7.54g
No hallmarks remain on this pretty locket, but it has been verified as 9ct Gold, Front and back, which means its core is made of a strong metal and the 9ct gold used on its outside.
Please have a look at the pictures and video, and dont hesitate to get in touch if you need any further information.
